Reading this in 2026, still a good article. It’s surprising to me that these link together, and after reading your series on the olympians and their prehistoric roots it seems less like a coincidence. Down here in the southern hemisphere the equinox brings us into the darker months, not exactly the message of renewal and celebration from the northies, but into withering vegetation and darkness. If anything it’s closer to Persephone leaving Demeter. We don’t talk about that here though. I’ve never understood why.
