Winter has cloaked Devon in snow this week, and as we near the darkest night of the year, I find myself retreating into stillness and quiet. No writing. But a song that arrived late last night inspired by a poem by Hafiz, the thirteenth-century Persian poet. You may hear the soft snores in the background of little Ella, the puggle I look after sometimes who often seems to find her way into my den on Sundays. Wishing you all a sweet Solstice, Christmas and New Year with much warmth and good cheer. See you on the other side.
